Guitars and String Instruments

A cymbal is a thin, round percussion instrument made of metal alloys that can be played alone or as part of a drum set. Most dishes don’t have a specific note. However, very small disc-type cymbals called crotales are designed to achieve a particular note. Like all percussion instruments, cymbals produce their sound when hit with a stick, hammer, brush, hand, or even another cymbal.
